– South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham
I like my politics paid off and seedy. Fuck yeah Chicago!
(via absurdlakefront)
Senator Lindsey Graham should not invoke things about which he knows nothing. Don’t knock my city…and don’t act like South Carolina doesn’t have its own...

Well…
The presents have been ravaged.
The babies are crying/playing.
The coffee is still flowing.
The late breakfast is cooking.
I wonder if there are any bars open…
Eight adults. Six children. Small ranch-style home.
Absolute mayhem.

Via The Iladelph comes word that Rob McElhenney—probably better known as Mac on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia—has bought a bar in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood along with his wife Kaitlin Olson, who also plays Dee on the show.
On the popular FX show, McElhenney owns a bar with the other characters, and the fictional bar is called...

Ok, so I just got an invite on facebook from a friend from High School. We hung out after High School too, but I haven’t seen her in a couple years. Anyway she is having her BDay party at Sidetrack (insert eye roll here).
I no longer have any love for Sidetrack (mainstay of Chicago gay bars), I have not for years. What is the straight girl obsession with gay bars? I get it that they like...

is the only reason I make my bed.
And the only reason I keep my apartment clean…which is not very often. Yeah, I don’t get much play.

Ugh. I was hoping this wouldn’t happen.
I tried to make it known to everyone here in the office that I wouldn’t really be celebrating Xmas. Whenever people would ask what I was doing for the holiday, I’d tell them about the early exchange at home but that other than that, I didn’t plan on buying any presents or doing anything special that day.
Well - people...

How’s it going Tumblrs? You good? You full of holiday angst or cheer?
Yea, that’s good or something. So, I’m not working this week. I haven’t had a full week away from work since last December, so this is beyond needed. This means I will not be posting as much, because frankly, I like my life away from the internet when I’m not bound to an office chair. I may get bored...

This afternoon, I found a Netflix envelope addressed to me laying on the floor underneath the bank of mailboxes in my building’s entrance. It was opened and the little sleeve thing that holds the DVD was underneath it, DVD partially out. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it was there neither at 2:30 yesterday afternoon, when I left my apartment, nor at 9:00 when I got back last night....
Yep. It's true. →
I was waiting for this to get picked up by a news source other than TMZ before I rescinded my call of Internet shenanigans.
Sad. I liked her.
It’s a peculiar trait of the privileged: immediate, incautious intimacy.

4. The Road by Cormac McCarthy, 2007
I spent ten minutes looking for a photo of this book’s cover without the Oprah Book Club sticker on it; get the fuck off this awesome book, Oprah. Cormac McCarthy is a genius, this is just a fact; The Road is the prime piece of evidence for this case. It is savage and gorgeous, if someone else had written this post-apocalyptic story about the...
